Let’s be Bold.
Governing for the People
There’s no way around it: money talks.
Big donations from corporate interests have controlled politics in Los Angeles for too long, both in City Hall and up north in Sacramento. The only way to rid ourselves of this corrupting influence is to keep corporate money out of the process altogether.
We can’t control what kinds of donations our opponents may take, but we are publicly pledging never to take Corporate PAC money. Our campaign is 100% people-funded.
Chris is running for the California State Assembly as a true Progressive to make a California that works for the many, not the few.
Chris Roth has been a resident of Los Angeles since 2003. He has been an active member of the community in those years, becoming particularly involved in local activism since leaving his engineering manager position at SpaceX in 2015. He is an active member in the Los Angeles chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, a community organizer with Ground Game Los Angeles, a core organizer with the Public Bank LA movement, and a board member of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council.
Why We Support Chris
Chris is a committed, thoughtful leader of integrity. His candidacy represents a dedication to ensuring our progressive vision for local and state-wide communities come to fruition. His background as an engineer will aid the composition of specific legislation that works for the people he represents.
Chris is both an organizer with a deep commitment to our communities, and an engineer who can untangle the most complex legislation. I’m proud to endorse him for State Assembly.
Chris Roth has an incredible intellect and compassionate heart that shows itself in his deep commitment to our city and our neighbors. I've been privileged to work with him as he pushes our city towards a more equitable future through his involvement in public banking, the housing crisis, and civic engagement. More than anything Chris will bring new energy and new ideas to the State Assembly. Chris's integrity and intelligence are sorely needed in Sacramento to fight for our communities and our neighbors.
